Insurgency: Chibok Pastor in Boko Haram Captivity, Cries For Rescue

Pastor Bulus Yakuru of the Church Of Brethern who was abducted from his church during a Christmas carol in Pemi village in Chibok Local Government Area of Borno state has resurfaced in video exclusively obtained by Daily Times Correspondent calling on President Muhammdu Buhari, the leadership of his church, and the Christian Association of Nigeria to rescue him.

In this 2 minutes, 26 seconds video the Pastor also urged the Governor of his home state Borno, Prof Babagana Zulum, his parents along with the President and the Christian community to meet up the demands of his captors if they really want to rescue him or else he will accept his captivity as his end to the glory of God ”anything they demand is not beyond your capacity if you want me to leave this place, and God’s Grace abounds” then tears rush down his briefly face, Pastor Bulus turns and looks at a man wearing a military design camouflage headgear added ” the President, our state Governor, my parents, the leadership of the church this is not beyond your capacity, but if this is how it will end for me-to God be the glory”.

In the evenings of Chrismas eve, dozens of gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram attacked in the village of Pemi amidst a Christmas carol celebration and killed at least seven people including members of the Boys Brigade of Pastor’s church and also burnt down the church and many houses including vehicles.

The Chairman of the Abuja Chibok community, Kibaku Area Development Association Nkeki Mutah Chibok identified Pastor Bulus in the video.
